Hon. Nicholas Kofi Baako has been confirmed as Assin North Municipal Chief Executive

Hon. Nicholas Kofi Baako who was appointed by His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah, has been confirmed by the Assembly members including government appointees on 5th May 2017, the total number of the Assembly members and government appointees we're 47 and they were all present, After the voting, all the members has confirmed HON. Nicholas Kofi Baako by given him 100% confirmation
But before that, they also elect presiding member where Hon.Affum Ampomah who is the assembly member for Assin Breku goes unopposed and been confirmed by 98%,
The deputy regional NPP chairman congratulates the new MCE and his presiding member and wish them all the best, he advice them not to look down peoples view, Assinmam development should be their priority
Hon. Nicholas Kofi Baako said " Am highly delighted for your love for Nana Addo Danquah, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong , Hon. Abena Duruwaah Mensah and Assin development, what I want to say is that we have a long way to go, when it comes to development Assinman is moving backwards, is time for us to arise and move Assin forward, to achieve this goal you need a leader who has a foresight and who can unite the people, and you all know I have all this qualities, in my era no NPP and NDC we will all work together as one family, I know HON. Kennedy Agyapong and Abena Duruwaah will also support me to move Assinman forward ".
HON. Kennedy Agyapong also added that " Anything the MCE cannot do he should come to me, the little I can do am going to do to support him, I repeat again this time am going to select not by faces or party but by the committee you were on, you will be traveling outside Ghana for you to experience how other people have developed their country and is very very important, is possible we can do this, and when it comes to central region, the poorest constituency and they will mention Gomoa and Assin, this time we have a lot of
successful men in Assin, not the olden days they use to call us "Ahaban asefo" this time is not like that, we get the money in our pocket "
He then assures the contractors in Assin to worry no more because this time every assembly
contract will be given to them, except only the one that is above them, no discrimination and no partisan only if you qualify for the contract. He advice the youth to support them whenever they need their help, we can move Assinman forward only if we see ourselves us one big family. Assin youth Associations and St. DS Ofori Atuhoakye campaign members also came in numbers to support them, everything  goes on successful.
